Beginning on March 1st the blue card readers in the MR hallway are going to be changing to HID proximity badge readers. In order to gain access to BIAC resources you will need to obtain a Duke ID card with an HID chip. To determine if your Duke ID card already has an HID chip, look for the blue HID logo on the back or a duke card number that begins with 7720. If you do not have an ID with an HID chip, you will need to contact your departmental administrator or the duke card office. Once you have obtained a Duke ID with HID chip, email your Duke Card number to me or Francis, so that you can be given access to BIAC readers.

As always, you will need to complete our required MRI safety training and documentation before access to MR resources can be granted. For more information about safety training see:

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

Just a quick update, the blue card readers have not yet been replaced. The transition for all blue card readers (including the ones in the MR hallway) is expected to be completed by the end of June. We will keep you updated as information becomes available.

If you have any questions, please let me know.
