Dear golgi users,
A nightly job on golgi that cleaned up files in /tmp was suspected in causing sharity to stop allowing logins, and eventually to stop responding. This necessitated a reboot to bring the remote servers back on line. You will need to restart any jobs on golgi that were running during the time of the reboot. You will also need to re-login to storage servers from golgi, using cifslogin (see below). I apologize for the gross inconvience of this. The nightly job has been altered to only remove users' files (not the root user), and we are looking in to ways to get various tools (FSL especially) to avoid using /tmp in the future. If you have any questions about this, please post to the "Unix Support" forum here: http://www.biac.duke.edu/forums/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=14
For more information on how to login (or re-login) to storage servers from golgi, see the following forum thread: http://www.biac.duke.edu/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=381 If you are trying to access selye, see this thread: http://www.biac.duke.edu/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=872
Thanks for your understanding and patience. |
