Dear BIAC Users, Late Monday afternoon, the projector at the 3T scanner stopped working. Initially, we had hoped that this would be a brief temporary outage, however it has become apparent that the projector will be down for some period of time. We will either repair and/or replace the projector. The 3T projector is currently at the repair shop, awaiting a diagnosis. We are also simultaneously investigating purchasing a new projector. We hope to have a projector back in place as soon as possible, however we do not have an estimated time for this yet. A projector will not be available tomorrow or Saturday.
We have recently received delivery of the new goggles set, I would encourage all investigators to stop by the 3T scanner (when there is time available on the scanner) to evaluate the goggles for themselves. I found the picture to be of good quality and did not notice any dimming when I entered the bore of the scanner. Of course we understand that some investigators may not wish to change display devices part way through an experiment.
I apologize for the inconvenience and will post updates as they are available. Please let me know if I can be of assistance.
Sincerely, Michele Diaz |

I siopped by earlier today to check out the goggles. I found the picture quality of the goggles to be at least as good as, if not better than the projection system.
