To avoid hassel in physically switching the headcoil with the phased-array coil, our design was to have both the NOVA headcoil and phased-array coil hooked up to the 4T. By selecting NOVAHEAD or NOVACOMB on the scanner console, we can now switch between the whole-volume headcoil and phased-array surface coil simply by a mouse click. I tested the temporal stability using the whole-volume headcoil, and it was consistent with that using the phased-array coil.
