By popular request, ShowPlay has been modified slightly to print out a summary of which response buttons were pressed during a scan, and how many times for each button. The idea is to provide an immediate indication of whether the subject is pressing the correct buttons.

The summary list will be printed in the "commands" window while it is writing out the data files at the end of each run. If you don't want this list to appear you could set the 8-bit in the variable "seeresponses" in your stimulus file.

E.g. to NOT see the summary, add this line:
seeresponses = seeresponses | 8
otherwise it will appear automatically.

By default, the summary will appear whenever you create an output file. The summary list is not stored in the "pdigm" file, but the actual list of responses is, so you could get the same information again later if you want.

Note that the summary list includes all button presses (including keyboard and mouse events), so if the subject pressed the button several times for each stimulus you may see more responses than you expect.

This change has been implemented in the versions of CIGAL on Gall/Programs and on the PC's at both MRI scanners as of 2/10/05.

Let me know if there are problems.

Lihong pointed out that the button numbers are off by 1 (button 8 says 9). I've fixed this on Gall/Programs and will fix it on the scanners by Monday. It's just the printed summary log that has the wrong values, the output files are correct.
