As mentioned in a previous post, it seems that the monitor periodically flips to black on Kulpe. I haven't had it happen on Darwin and I haven't heard any reports about this happening with the goggles. Anyone have any ideas about what causes this?

This appears to be a video switch issue. Jordan has found that turning the power off and on on the video switch box in the equipment room stops the flickering. It only occurs on the monitors, not the goggles. Turning off the switch resets all connections to the default settings, so you will have to reset the goggle display using the video switch software.
We will try to identify the cause of this problem, but in the meantime cycling the power switch seems to fix the symptom.
The flickering problem is terrible today. We are turning the power off and on on the video switch box in the equipment room after each and every run (Susan even tried standing on her head while turning the power off and on). Both Kulpe and Darwin are affected by this problem and it is making it increasingly difficult to even load stimuli.
We tried to debug this problem today, but couldn't recreate the flickering on demand. The next time this problem occurs please contact Imran (681-9529) so he can diagnose it and find a solution. The problem is sporadic and it's not clear which component, or more likely which combination of components, needs to be replaced. Catching the symptom in the act will make it much easier to solve the problem. thanks, Jim
