Earlier this week I tried to change the screen resolution while I was using cigal on the Xp computer at the 4T. I tried to change the resolution both via cigal's display drop down menu and through the control panel, but both times the monitor stopped displaying, and an error message came up. Although the display was still visible on the goggles. After restarting the computer, the monitor display would come back, with resolution unchanged. Any ideas?

I had experienced similar problem in 4T XP computer. I could change the screen resolution from 1024x768 down to 640x480 using Cigle, but the computer crashed when I changed it back to 1024x768. Then I used control panel to change the setting back. So my solution was using Cigle to drop down the resolution, and using control panel to drag it back (up). It worked on me in my last experiment. My experiment needs to change the screen resolution back and forth 10 times. But it's really not a good solution. I am not assure it always works.
