Hi,

I tested my experiment today at BIAC5 using Matlab and PTB3.09. When I attempt to play a .mov file, I get this error:

PTB-ERROR: Call to InitializeQTML(0) failed with Quicktime error code -2093!
Error in function OpenMovie: Usage error
Quicktime Media Layer initialization failed: Do you have a recent version of Apple's Quicktime-7 properly installed on your system?!?

Would it be possible to update Quicktime on Darwin or is there a different preferred movie type that I should convert my .mov files to?

i would think your best-best would window's media format ... Since you're trying to display them on a window's machine.

The correct codecs should be in place already from the OS.

It looks like PsychToolBox uses a Quicktime driver to play movies, so if I convert my .mov files to another format (.avi) they still won't play without the Quicktime 7 update. Would it be possible to install Quicktime 7 on Darwin?
