I tested my experiment script (wrote using PTB 3.0.9 on Matlab R2010a) on the stimulus computer (Darwin) at BIAC5 today. I first ran D:\Programs\MATLAB\PsychToolbox\3.0.8.889\BIACSetupPsychtoolbox.m to add PTB onto my matlab environment, then attempted to run my experiment script. It was unsuccessful - PTB it did not recognize or had problems with many simple functions. For example, KbWait and KbCheck was restricted to have limited number of input and output arguments, unlike other PTB versions.
What IS this 3.0.8.889 version that is in the BIAC network? This seems very different from other 3.0.9 or 3.0.8 that is controlled by svn (which is how typically PTB is installed), and it does not properly support many of the basic PTB functions as it should be. Did I do anything wrong to have a PTB script running? Is it possible to have an option of having the newest version (3.0.9 I believe) running on these machines? As the last resort, is it possible to run these scripts off our laptops in case the Darwin gives us trouble?
I would love to resolve this issue by the time we have our first subject next week. =)
Just to follow up on this post: Chris helped us getting the newest version of PTB (3.0.9) on Munin and also on D: drive in Darwin (BIAC5 stimulus computer). This resolved many issues I've been having. Thanks Chris! Those interested may run D:\Programs\MATLAB\PsychToolbox\3.0.9\BIACSetupPsychtoolbox.m to use PTB 3.0.9.
