I have updated Freesurfer on all of the nodes from version 4.0.0 to version 4.0.2. Please let me know if you encounter any errors.

Note: It appears that Freesurfer is still crashing on node6. I have yet to figure out what is causing this, but in the mean time, you should avoid node6 when running Freesurfer jobs.

By the way, I fixed the permissions problem with node6, so you should feel free to run Freesurfer on any node.

All,

I'm thinking about updating Freesurfer to version 4.0.5 soon, maybe on Monday (Sept. 22). It'd be best if there were no Freesurfer jobs running when I do this, so unless it's a problem, please don't submit any new jobs that might still be running on Monday.

Thanks!
Josh

Amy,

From the interact queue, typing the following command will tell you which version of freesurfer is being used:
cat $FREESURFER_HOME/build-stamp.txt

Or, you can add that line to your grid engine scripts to get it to print the version to your log file.

Josh,

Which command can I check FreeSurfer version?

Thanks,

Amy
