The video switcher at the 3T is malfunctioning and has to be sent for repairs. We have had to make a couple of changes to keep the system running:

  1. The video switcher has been disconnected from the video setup and all video connections have now been hardwired to specific computers.

  2. All stimulus presentation will now be done through Mach (Monitor on the left).

  3. All E-Prime users on Donders will have to move their experiments to Mach and configure the SRBox as Port 1 using instructions given here http://www.biac.duke.edu/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=702 .

  4. Due to hardware restrictions, the resolution for stimulus display (projector and goggles) will be 800 x 600.

  5. You can still get to Donders which is now directly connected to the monitor on the right.

  6. The DVD player is no longer connected to the video setup but we are working on getting an alternate solution in place. For now, users will be unable to play DVD's.

I apologise for the inconvenience and will post updates on the video switcher repair. We will try to get it back in place as soon as possible. Let me know if you have any problems with the setup.

Imran

I added another component to the video setup that allows the projector to run at all resolutions. The gogles will run only at 800 x 600, as they used to.

I added yet another component to the hardwired setup and we can now play movies using the DVD player.

The video switcher at the 3T is repaired and back at the scanner. We had some technical difficulties getting the video switcher software to communicate with the switch, but they have now been resolved.
