Folks,
Scheduled Downtime The BIAC network will be down Sunday 2/12/06 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. This is due to completion of construction in the MR scanner wing in Duke North. The Radiology network will also be affected. All networking equipment is being moved back to its original location. We will attempt to get things finished as soon as possible.
Impact
- The BIAC network will be disconnected from the rest of Duke and the Internet.
- Computers in Duke North will be entirely disconnected from the network, including the rest of BIAC in the Bell Bldg.
- You will not be able to run experiments on the MR scanners. The BIAC MR scanners will be entirely disconnected from the network, including the rest of BIAC in the Bell Bldg.
- You will not be able to send or receive email.
- The BIAC web site will not be reachable from the outside.
Note: While the computers within the Bell Bldg. should be able to communicate with one another (this includes servers Broca, Gall, Goldman, Golgi, Hall, Hodgkin, Huxley, Katz), I cannot guarantee that this connectivity will be uninterrupted. Please don't depend on being able to work on Sunday.
I will post here when the move is complete.
Thanks, Francis
