Sorry for this further delay. But during careful sweeping of spikes at all frequencies, we still found small residual fluctuations arising from the whole-body RF coil that cannot be completely eliminated. Given the fact that many GE scientists and engineers are here on campus, they wanted to uproot the problem altogether. Therefore, they have ordered another new whole-body RF coil to be shipped by midnight tonight, and should arrive here by tomorrow morning. The coil installation and follow-up GE tests will likely occupy an entire day.

In addition, I will still need to test the new modifications I made to my spiral-in pulse sequence (along with the spiral-out and the new BIAC EPI pulse sequences), which most of you are using at the moment for fMRI, for their stability with the new hardware.

The original projected date will have to be pushed back further by a half day. The new projected uptime will be Friday morning.
