Recently there have been concerns about the upkeep of the mock scanner area. The mock scanner is frequently used by adult, patient, and child participants to ease anxiety about participating in an fMRI study, so good hygiene and presentation are very important. When using the mock scanner please adhere to the following guidelines.

Please help maintain a neat and clean appearance of the room. This includes changing the sheets after every use and tidying the area when you are finished using the room. Replacement sheets and a receptacle for dirty sheets are kept in the 4T console room.

Please take care when using the mock scanner equipment. The mirror glasses, headband, and sensor should not be left on the floor. The sensor of the head tracking system is not designed for rough handling. Leaving it on the floor, creates a situation where it could easily be stepped on. The head tracker is an invaluable resource for increasing the success rate of scans, so please handle this equipment with care.

Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
