Folks,
Scheduled Downtime Due to electrical power upgrades in the Bell Building, all BIAC computer systems in the Bell Building will be shut down Friday 4/22 at midnight. They will be powered back on some time around 9:00 AM on Saturday 4/23. Please plan accordingly. (Note: We will start shutting down unused workstations around 11:00 PM. Servers will be up until midnight.)
Official notices: http://eo.mc.duke.edu/construction/shutdowns.htm
Impact
- The following servers will be unavailable: Broca, Gall, Hall, Nernst.
- All workstations in the Bell Bldg. will be powered off.
- You will not be able to log in to any Windows systems, even those not located in the Bell Building. In general, nothing that relies on logging in to the BIAC Windows domain will work, since our domain controllers will be down.
- If you plan to run an experiment on the MR scanners or Mock scanner, you will need to login with a special local user name. Contact me for details.
- You will not be able to send, receive or read email.
- The BIAC web site, including the scanner scheduling calendar, will be down.
Exceptions
- Golgi (IBM p670) will remain available.
- Hodgkin, Huxley and Katz will remain available for NFS mounts, but not CIFS (Windows) connections.
