A wierd error occurred on Mach (1.5T) yesterday, where CIGAL would start prematurely (and randomly) without scanning or pressing any keys. It turns out that there was a spurious analog signal that was causing the premature triggering. I have modified the default scan settings in CIGAL so that it will ignore that signal. It seems to work fine now.

If you ever experience triggering problems in the future you should be aware that triggering options can be controlled using the interactive dialog available by selecting the menu:
Settings->Scan Settings
Yesterday's problem was temporarily avoided by selecting the "Immediate start" triggering option and then manually synchronizing with the scanner. Hopefully you won't need to change these settings, but it helps to know that they are there.

Jim
