I have tried to test the scanner trigger in Presentation on the 1.5T, but I have not been successful. In Presentation, I opened the FMRI Input Tests window, and using the settings parallel port address: 0x378 and port: 1, I hit the Test button under Interrupt Polarity. Here is the error message that I received:

The interrupt is most likely not enabled for a parallel port in the Windows device manager.

This information from the Presentation documentation seems relevant, but I believe changing these settings would require an administrator login:

If you are using Windows 2000 or XP, you will most likely have to adjust the Windows LPT settings. If this is the case, an error message will indicate this. To enable the parallel port interrupts, right-click on the "My Computer" icon and choose "manage". Then locate the relevant LPT entry in the "Device Manager". On the "Port Settings" tab of the properties window for the port, you should be able to choose the "Use any interrupt assigned to the port" option.

Perhaps these settings have already been changed; in that case, I'm not sure why I'm receiving this error message, and I would greatly appreciate any insight that anyone might have. I also tried testing under Monitor (non-real time) and Monitor (real-time priority) while the scanner was going, but Presentation did not receive any data in either of these tests.

Thanks,
Sara Moore
