Hi,

I am new to using bputil, and I have been having some problems with it.

First, I didn't know whether it is important to run all six instruction set options. For instance, is the normalization in step 3 (Coreg and Normalize) the same normalization as step 4? Also, does it matter the order in which we do these steps (ie. does step 5 depend upon step 4, so it should be done after step 4)?

Second, I don't understand the naming of the output files. It appears that the names can vary depending on the subejct, which is odd. Is there not a 1-to-1 relation between the output step and the output name?

Third, I have noticed that sometimes the utility doesn't work. For instance, sometimes when I run for all six options, only five get done. Or, sometimes I will see output files, but there is nothing in them, or only a few images. This seems to be very periodic and I can't figure out what this is about. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Fourth, I was wondering whether there is any documentation on bputil that I could consult.

Thanks,
Matt Costello

Matt:

I've posted a couple of manuals on bputil and Jim Voyvodic's script bprerun for failed bputil submissions in the following directory:
