Posted - Dec 09 2011 : 11:34:00 AM Hi BIAC users,
I'm hoping someone has seen something like this before because I'm at a loss as to how to trouble shoot it:
I'm trying to run a bunch of subjects through the artifact detection toolbox in SPM (Art) on the cluster, and it's happening that right after Art starts running, the process just dies without error or passing control back to the process that called it. It's likely that I've done something wrong in setting the cluster paths and what not, but since I'm not getting an error I have little idea what it could be. Does any one have any suggestions?
Here is the entire output that I consistently get:
----JOB [SPM_ART_20100215_10341_00001.job.3048096] START [Fri Dec 9 10:42:57 EST 2011] on HOST [node17]---- the random integer for Xvfb is 247 _XSERVTransmkdir: ERROR: euid != 0,directory /tmp/.X11-unix will not be created. Posted - Dec 10 2011 : 4:31:21 PM It was the entire process, and increasing the memory did indeed fix it! Hopefully I can self-diagnose memory problems now - thanks!!

Posted - Dec 09 2011 : 11:36:48 AM is your entire process ( job ) dying, or just matlab?
I'm inclined to think it could be memory related ... try one requesting more than the default amount of memory.
