I usually run Eventstats with my preprocessed FEAT directories as the inputs. Does this pull filtered_func_data to analyze? I want to use the res4d.nii.gz file because I regressed out a nuisance regressor. How would I change my options file? I usually have this at the top of the options file:
featinputs
featavgspace standard
featoutputspace standard

If you could send me (privately) the path to one of your eventstats directories, I might be able to figure out what's going on. |

I had checked the res4d files and there is data in them. By empty, I mean the outputs, es_standardized_CONDITION_avg.nii.gz, are blank when I open them in FSLVIEW (whole picture is black with 0 intensity) and the file size is smaller than expected (38KB instead of like 11,000KB). |

There hasn't been any change in this functionality since 1.9.9.2. By "empty", do you mean they are blank? Can you verify that the res4D files themselves aren't blank? |

I added "featdatapath stats/res4d" to my options file. I ran Eventstats for my subjects and realized that all of the es_standardized_CONDITION_avg.nii.gz files are empty them when I open them in FSL. I discovered this when I did ROI analysis and everything came back empty.
I re-ran eventstats for one subject and took out the "featdatapath stats/res4d" so that it would just use filtered_func instead and this worked.
On my machine, I am using the eventstats scripts in bxh_xcede_tools_1.9.9.2. Do I need to update this or change anything else for the residuals to work as inputs? |

Yes, it uses filtered_func_data by default. You can change this by adding the following line to your options file:
featdatapath pathToData
where pathToData is a path relative to the .feat directory. As I said the default is:
featdatapath filtered_func_data
but you can change it to:
featdatapath stats/res4d
Others have used this with success, but it is a new addition to the tool, so please let me know if you have any problems. |
