Apparently the recent 3.1.3 install of the BIAC MATLAB Tools on golgi caused unforeseen problems with bputil. The default has been reverted to the old version (3.0.11) until this can be resolved. Sorry for the inconvenience. If you still want to run the newest version of the tools on golgi, you can run the following:

export BIACMATLABROOT=/usr/local/MATLAB/BIAC-3.1.3

before starting up MATLAB.

If you have logged in after I made the change, when you run MATLAB, the following paths should be at the top when you type 'path':

/usr/local/MATLAB/BIAC-3.1.3/mr
/usr/local/MATLAB/BIAC-3.1.3/EEGad
/usr/local/MATLAB/BIAC-3.1.3/general

If these aren't there, let me know.

Also, I seem to have lost the path for all BIACtools when running matlab on golgi. Any idea why and what should I change? I could not access scripts like 'findexp' today (used to work fine before). I got it to work temporarily by just adding the directory to the path.

Yes, you can ignore this. That's a (newish) AFNI tool that is not installed on golgi, and so the QA will not generate those particular statistics.

Unrelated to matlab, I get the below warning when using bputil for QA analysis. Can it just be ignored?

Didn't find executable 3dFWHMx!
Warning: cannot find program 3dFWHMx, so will not generate smoothness data

We managed to figure out how to enable the new version of the tools for users and the old version for bputil. So, next time you login, BIACMATLABROOT should be set by default to /usr/local/MATLAB/BIAC-3.1.3 (the latest version). bputil will continue to use the old version. Please post if there are any problems...
