Posted - Jun 11 2007 : 10:22:31 AM I am trying to open the fsl GUI and am not getting any error message but the GUI doesn't appear.
I can run fsl functions from command line, but can't edit in GUI. Any advice?
Thanks,

Posted - Jun 21 2007 : 11:53:10 AM The best guess comes from Jimmy, who noted that the /home partition on golgi was 100% full yesterday, which prevented the creation of some files that ssh uses to authenticate the X11 tunneling. This problem never hit me, but I was just probably lucky. |

Posted - Jun 21 2007 : 11:44:59 AM Working for me today. Nothing different, I had tried restarting everything and logging yesterday. ...will keep the voodoo dolls near. |

Posted - Jun 20 2007 : 5:20:00 PM It seems to be working at the moment. If it isn't fixed for you, try deleting the .Xauthority file in your home directory, then logoff and logon again.

Posted - Jun 20 2007 : 5:05:10 PM Just as soon as I sent that reply, I started getting the same error message too. So not sure what the problem is. Does it happen if there are more users than there can be? |

Posted - Jun 20 2007 : 4:54:53 PM Did you try restarting your x-server (X-win 32). Also, just check that your Tunnel X11 connections is turned on when you are connecting to golgi using F-secure. |

Posted - Jun 20 2007 : 3:34:09 PM Not sure if its the same error, but Im not able to spawn any x-server windows from golgi. I haven't changed anything in my set up since I last used Golgi (last week). Has there been an x-win update that might have broken something or are should I just try to reconfigure everything. Others appear to also be having the same problem.
Error: "X connection to localhost:79.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown)."
Edit: I have tried logging out and back in to no avail.

Posted - Jun 11 2007 : 12:17:27 PM I am able to run it -- if logging out and logging back in doesn't work, let us know. |
