I've installed the newest release of matlab on the cluster.

the version jumps from R2011a to R2013a.

The newest version will become the default on 8/23 after the cluster nodes come back up from the munin downtime.

To test anything before then you can launch the new version by calling the full path to the new executable:
/usr/local/MATLAB/R2013a/bin/matlab

R2011a will expire within the next 12 days
