Dear all,

We're required to update the password policy on the cluster and other linux machines due to compliance issues.

The policy will be in accordance with the current BIAC window's policies:
- passwords are valid for 180 days
- you'll get 14 days of reminder when you log in to the cluster
- if you don't update within the allotted time frame the account will be locked
- you can contact help@biac or submit a trouble ticket after that point

To ease any potential confusion i am going to start the password aging process to be in effect 90 days from today. Therefore, all the accounts with passwords currently older than the 180 days limit won't immediately be locked.

The long-term goal is that this will be temporary and we'll eventually make into onto a 1 password, 1 uid system.

Thanks,
-Chris

in short, you'll have to change the password, but the current password will be valid for the next 90 days.
