In some of my FSL feat output directories files with the naming structure 'cifs???' (??? = random string) are created. I am unable to delete these files and their parent directories, even after changing the permissions of the files from 500 to 744 via chmod. Any ideas for deleting these files?

its usually an open filehandle ... sometimes i just give it time, then i can delete them ... other times i do it after a reboot.
