As a lot of you know I am a runner and am currently training for my second marathon. I am also training others 'to go the distance'. :) On Saturday, September 13 one of my fellow runners (and Fellow Duke researcher) who has two kids with diabetes is running his first 5K. I promised him I would run with him and get sponsors to raise money for this great cause...finding a cure for diabetes!

I am hoping to find assistance in meeting this goal. If you would care to pledge any amount...from $1.00 to whatever...to go toward the cure for diabetes, please contact me.

Thanks,
Anita Jurkowski@biac.duke.edu

Thanks to those who donated money for the Diabetes Walk/Run this weekend. I raised $100.00 and I thank you. Dr. Galanos completed his first 5K with energy to spare! He even sprinted past me on the home stretch! Garrett ran and finished a half mile in front of us! For those who haven't gotten their mpomey to me yet, I'll be hunting you down today as I need to get the balance to the Duke Wellness Center tomorrow.
Thanks, Anita
