After changing my BIAC password, I can't access goldman through golgi (or meehl for that matter), though I can logon to golgi and meehl, and can access goldman through windows. cifslogin and mountgoldman don't seem to help.

Thanks for any help...

I have tried both my windows and golgi passwords every day for a week now. Neither results in a prompt for my password. After pressing enter, the command window just sits there completely blank, for several days if I let it. The only thing producing any response is

ls ~net/goldman/data
which, after 20 or 30 minutes, gives the following message:
NFS getattr failed for server localhost: error 5 (RPC: 1832-008 Timed out)

This is not simply an error on my part to enter the proper passwords or commands. More help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Dharol

You must use your Windows username/password when connecting to Goldman (from anywhere). Run the following command on Golgi:
cifslogin goldman -U tankersley
It should prompt you for a password. Enter your Windows password. If you are not prompted for your password or you get an error, reply here.

Hi. I am still unable to login to goldman through golgi. I've tried using both my windows and golgi username, and neither works. I can

cd ~/net/goldman
but if i try to cd goldman/data, the command window just sort of sits there forever. Any ideas on how to fix it? I am currently unable to analyze any of my data because I am unable to access.

Thanks,

Dharol

Hi. I recently changed my windows password. Not sure if this cifslogged me out of golgi or not, but now when i try to cifslogin to golgi with the following command

cifslogin goldman -U tankersl

the command window just does nothing. If i try to cd into goldman, after a while I get the following error:
NSF server localhost not responding still trying

I am able to cd into katz, however. Any ideas on what's going on?

Thanks for help,

Dharol

When I tried from Golgi, I was getting an access denied error, but now it worked when I just tried. However, there is definitely something going on. Intermittently Outlook is asking me for my password, but not recognize it when I enter it. Similarly, I cannot access the scheduling calendar intermittently. And after three failures to access these resources, my accounts becomes locked out.

Thanks for any help as this is very disruptive.

What is the error you are getting with cifslogin?
