I need to create pdfs of sub-sections of an MS Word document. Acrobat is supposed to allow you to select a portion of a document, select print, select "Adobe PDF" as a printer, and then select "Selection" under "Page Range" to accomplish this. However, when I do this, no save dialogue box appears. Not sure if this is specific to my machine.

This is a pretty standard part of creating documents from a master document (with continuously numbered references) for electronic nih.gov submissions.

Thanks for help with this.
