If you are interested in having access to development tools for IBM systems such as the one we are purchasing, it would make sense to sign up for the IBM Scholars Program. It is free to enroll in the program and you will have access to a wide variety of IBM development software and be able to enroll in classes.

The classes would be appropriate for just about anyone interested in being able to use AIX or just UNIX in general and are available at no cost. The AIX 5L users course does not presupose any UNIX knowledge and is not aimed for system administrators. There are other courses which cover application development and other more advance concepts as well.
