Folks,

Our new data server, Fatt, is now online. We are in the process of moving files over to it now. In the process, we are retiring Huxley. This means everyone using MATLAB on Golgi will need to cifslogin to Fatt in order to use chexp.m, which relies on files that will be moved to Fatt.

Just run the following commands on Golgi at the command prompt.
lnshares
cifslogin fatt

Then enter your Windows password when prompted.

Note: If your Windows username is longer than 8 characters, you will need to specify your Windows username to cifslogin as follows.
cifslogin fatt -U mywindowsusername

The gory details of connecting to Windows servers from Golgi can be found in this post.

I *think* I tried logging in to huxley last night, not sure why it didn't work.
It does work now though, Thank you!

Hey all,

I've changed the bputil global configuration file to point to Fatt instead of Huxley so you'll no longer have to cifslogin into Huxley for bputil to work.

The experiment files are still on huxley too -- so that should work. You may need to login to huxley with "cifslogin huxley" (try it twice if the first time doesn't work).

Hi there,

I am getting an error trying to run bputil that sounds related to this. I followed the directions above (tonight).

$VAR1 = '/home/mullette/net/huxley/data';
warn! ExperimentFileName does not exist
warn! InactiveFileName does not exist
warn! ExperimentUsers does not exist
ERROR! The following configuration file errors must be addressed:
Doesn't look like //Huxley/Data is mounted

Suggestions?

I implemented this change today, a few days late. See http://www.biac.duke.edu/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=928 for details. Please post if you encounter any problems.

This change will go live on Friday 3/21, so be sure to cifslogin before then.
