We were running a child this morning and brought them into the mock scanner room. We tried playing the DVD and it wouldn't appear on the monitor in the mock scanner bore. I tried playing with the video switcher but neither the DVD nor the stimuli would appear. I tried to turn on/off the monitor but that didn't work either. It may be that the cords are loose or disconnected. We have also been having trouble playing audio from the stimuli computer. Does this work normally or can we not play audio from this computer?

Everything seems to be working fine, I was able to get both computer and DVD display in the whisper room. Perhaps a wrong input was chosen?

Someone has changed the setting of the stimulus computer in the mock scanner room, and the monitor in the whisper room is not receiving input again. I tried changing the setting to 'dual view', but there is no such a choice now. The choices are 'single view' or 'switch among displays'. Even I selected the 'switch' choice, it actually does not work. Only the monintor display on the left shows green, but the one on the right always back to "disable" even I change it to active. Does anyone know what else I should check? Thanks.

That worked. Thanks!

Did you try to switch the monitor mode on the stimulus computer from dual view to single view ?

We've used audio on the stimulus computer and it worked okay. This morning, the screens in the mock scanner and in the whisper room were not receiving input, but the screen for the stimulus computer was working. I tried changing the input channel on the viewsonic video switch, but that did not seem to work.

Hey all,

Looks like the hardware was setup fine. Someone had modified the 'display' properties on the stimulus computer to display dual view instead of single view and I've since changed it back. Now the stimulus display can be seen on the monitors in the mock scanner monitor and the whisper room.

I'm not sure about the audio for the stimuli computer. It didn't seem like it was ever hooked up. Has anyone had audio from the stimulus computer work?

We definitely tried playing around with the video input switcher, and like Lihong said it would show the DVD and the stimuli on the other computers, just not on the mock scanner monitor.

What about the audio for the stimuli computer?

This reminded me another problem in the mock scanner room(we did not touch the DVD thing). Yesterday when we tried to use the mock scanner, the monitor in the mock scanner did not work either. But the monitor for stimulus presentation and the one in the whisper room worked fine. It seems somebody might have changed the connections and did not change them back. Maybe we'd better setup a warning in that room to remind people about it.

All the hardware is functioning properly. Did you select the DVD (S-Video) as the input channel on the Viewsonic video switch ? The default input channel is the stimulus computer.
