I was running a study on the 1.5 T using the Windows 98 system and I noticed that CIGAL displayed the "Counting DISDAQs" screen about 4 to 5 seconds after the scanner started functional acquisition. I don't know if anyone else has been running on the Win98 machine there since it has been suggested to move over to the WinXP macine, but it would be worth checking your data if you have.

Unfortunately, we did not have an accurate way of measuring the delay during the sessions where the delay was noticed. One solution might be to set aside some scanner time to do some tests scanning phantoms during one run of different experiments. If the timing delay is reliable, then we could adjust analysis files accordingly.
If at least two studies have recognized this problem, it is likely that other studies using Donders and Cigal in the past few weeks also experienced the same problem, but were unaware of it. So, testing a variety of studies might be helpful.
The other major issue will be determining exactly when this delay issue started becoming a problem. We only started paying close attention to the issue after Beau's post. This is not something you'd necessarily notice unless you were really monitoring the display screen carefully. So, pinpointing the problem date will be necessary to know which subjects' data need adjusting.
I would be more than willing to volunteer time for testing -- without the testing we will possibly need to rerun the 15 subjects we've tested so far on Aging.03.

This is unfortunate news. Is it possible to modify the analysis files to account for this delay and process the data?

Since your post, we have twice confirmed this problem when using the Donders (win98) computer. There is a 4-5 sec delay before disdaqs are counted, and thus the scanner finishes 4-5 secs before the task is over. -- Major problem!
We have now switched to the Mach computer, but now wonder how long this has been an issue for and how many subjects will have to be rerun because of it. Does anyone know a way to determine exactly how long the delay was in Cigal (after the data has already been collected)?
