Posted - Feb 26 2003 : 3:37:56 PM Sevaral subjects reported that the goggles at 4T Scanner are sliding down during the course of the scan. This impairs their ability to see the entire screen. This is especially a problem if you are scanning patient population. Since they've been told to not to move, they do not adjust the googles, or tell you about the problem unless you ask them. Is there a better way to stabilize the goggles?

Posted - Mar 05 2003 : 11:58:18 AM I can't think of anyway that would work without the subject's cooperation. I have found that the cables are what tend to pull the goggles downward and so if you hold the cables, or use velcro to secure them in a comfortable position there is less tendency to move. You could also try adding another elastic strap over the goggles and around the head. But the most reliable method is to make sure the subject can see comfortably at first and knows how to adjust them by moving the cables if they need to. I welcome other suggestions.
