Hi,

I'm trying record eye tracking data in BIAC3 while running a task using E-prime. During a user test, I think I've figured out how to adjust and calibrate the eye tracker using Viewpoint. I'm not sure how to be fully in control of 1. initializing data recording, 2. stopping data recording 3. saving the eye tracker data.

I saw on the forum that I can start a new recording by going ‘File’#8594;’Data’#8594;’New Data File’, but i wasn't sure how to stop the recording. I'd like to be able to time lock the start of the recording to the start of a functional task run in E-prime.

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated!

Lars

Following up on this post, did you make any progess, Lars? Has anyone successfully triggered Viewpoint from Eprime on BIAC5? Either triggering Viewpoint to start data collection, or manually starting data collection and having Eprime send an event code to Viewpoint at a specified time would allow synchronization of eyetracking and fMRI data.

This post appears to have some helpful code which we are going to try, but I wanted to check if others had solved this first: http://www.umich.edu/~fmri/eprime_code.html
