Posted - Jul 24 2006 : 11:28:38 AM It seems our data from Friday's scan has only a handful of button 2 presses and 100s of INFinity (where a button 2 press should be). This button box problem seems intermitant - as we have seen it once 2 weeks ago and again last Friday, but have tested Ss in between that came out fine. Also, it seems to be, maybe, a 'sticky' button as we have 3-4 button 2 responses, but that is all. Is there a second button box to be used at the 3T? We have a scan today and don't want to lose data. thanks nancy |

Posted - Jul 27 2006 : 09:36:02 AM The 2nd button on the button box is still not working for me. I have been using buttons 3 & 4 instead because button 2 won't register. Debra |

Posted - Jul 26 2006 : 10:16:21 AM The replacement button box has been installed on the 3T. For atleast the first couple of times that you use it, check the responses to see if they match what you would normally expect. If you experience any problems let me know.

Posted - Jul 24 2006 : 3:36:41 PM This happened to me as well. This happened to my scan on Friday and happened this morning as well. I don't know if it will work with your experiment, but I just started to use button 3 & 4 for my experiment instead of 1 & 2. Debra |

I tested the button box and it does appear to have a malfunctioning 2'nd button. The button tends to register some responses based on the action (slow and firm presses register, fast and light ones don't) but it is still unreliable. It is likely that the click mechanism is 'sticky'. I will install a replacement box on the 3T that should work without problems (while we repair the problem box).
