Posted - Feb 22 2003 : 1:25:28 PM Chuck Michelich and I (Allen) tested the NOVA headcoil Friday night, the quadrature transmit/receive components of the headcoil all worked within specs. The main thing that is different compared to the current GE coil is the transmit gain (TG), which is 117 for the NOVA coil and 100 for GE coil. This large TG is expected because this new headcoil is larger in size compared to the GE coil.
More tests on the phased-array receiver coil within the headcoil are underway.
